Dead Broke is an online co-op physics-based game for up to 4 players about running a cemetery without, well… ending up Dead Broke.
You and your fellow gravediggers are now in business, and your job is to make the cemetery successful, or at least keep it open! Your mission is simple: make it through the day alive and earn enough money to pay the cemetery’s rent and move on to the next day.
There are several ways to make money: completing quests such as servicing funerals, finding treasures hidden in the old crypts, and collecting tips from visitors. But there’s a problem. The more people inside the cemetery, the more zombies are attracted by the smell of fresh blood.
Protecting your visitors and keeping them alive is the only way to avoid ending up Dead Broke. And just imagine what happens when a funeral brings 30 or 40 mourners into the cemetery…
Running a cemetery means doing a lot of chores. You’ll have to keep everything in order, cut the grass, clean up the cemetery, refill the oil in the lamps, fix things around the grounds, and take care of all the little jobs that keep the place running. And there’s always more to do. A “glamour” rating system will tell you how things are going.
Communication with your friends will be essential, because you’re not exactly trained zombie hunters. You’re hunchbacked, skinny gravediggers who have to rely on tools, traps, and whatever else you can get your hands on to survive. For example, why not run over zombies with a trolley?
Or, if you have enough savings, you can buy fancier traps and weapons from the Deadly Supply.
Some other features:
Expansions: Expand your graveyard by purchasing new land and unlocking new areas.
Rating system: keep it tidy and clean or your visitors won’t pay.
Physics based: there is physics, what else would you expect?!
Proximity chat: of course you will need communication, even with the ghosts.
Weather forecast: be aware of the weather, it can be dangerous.
